Where Health & Temperament Come First!
So do you think a Dalmatian is just any breed of dog?
They are lovely dogs to look at... But is that what you are looking for?
Please browse my website for more about me and this unique breed...
So, who am I?
My name is Lisa Barrett, owner & hobby breeder of Dalamanti Dalmatians.
I have been a Dalmatian owner, breeder and exhibitor since 2000 and have loved them all my life. I only breed occasionally when I want a dog for myself. I do not breed for business or financial gain, purely as a hobby and my passion for Dalmatians.
First and foremost they are my much loved pets.

I am a proud member of the North of England Dalmatian Club and the Dalmatian Club of Scotland. I have done stints on the committees of 2 of the breed clubs as well which gave me extra knowledge on the breed but due to other commitments I couldn't stay on them long-term.
My dogs are BAER hearing tested normal and my Dalmatian puppies are also BAER hearing tested before being homed. I adhere to club rules and code of ethics as a bear minimum. My dogs are kept in the house and very much my family.
I am currently owned by 5 adorable Dalmatians: my first home bred daughter of Chelsea and Diesel, Dalamanti Ice Ruby JW ShCM VW (Jovi), Dalamanti Ruby Raider ShCM (Kiki), daughter of Jovi and the lovely Deny who's owned by Andrew Pratt, then we kept Dalamanti Hidden Glory (Calli), daughter from Jovi's final litter sired by Cosmo who is bred by Alex Cobb from the successful Kalokairie kennel. In 2020 I bred my first ever 3rd generation litter from Kiki and kept her son, Dalamanti Caesars Palace (Cooper). The newest addition to the pack is my liver boy Yogi, Dalamanti Duke’s Legend JW, from Kiki and Champion Harlow. I didn’t think I’d get another litter out of Kiki as she’d missed twice, but a final attempt I decided to use the fabulous boy Harlow, and produced a fantastic litter where this boy just had to stay. My first liver male.
Sadly I have had to say goodbye to my darling girls, Marricdale The Gold Digger of Dalamanti ShCM (Chelsea) in March 2021 aged 13 1/2, and Dalamanti Secret Sapphire (Malibu) in October 2020 aged 10 1/2. My life won't be the same without them and they are missed by the rest of the pack so very much. Very devastatingly we had to say goodbye to our wonderful champion boy Diesel in October 2023, CH Shulune Ice Phantom Of Dalamanti ShCM VW. He is terribly missed by us all.
Puppies are scanned confirmed as due early October by my beautiful girl Calli, Dalamanti Hidden Glory and my youngest boy, my gorgeous Yogi, Dalamanti Duke’s Legend JW.

I don't breed often but information on future planned litters will be included here and on my puppies page.
There are many ill tempered dogs around. I do whatever I can to ensure my Dalmatians aren't among them. My dogs and puppies are brought up in a busy household around children, cats and other animals to ensure they are well socialised. They really are part of our family.
I occasionally breed from my dogs and I consider temperaments and health as a priority as I know these are the most important aspects of owning a dog and ensuring he/she is happy and well loved. I am always happy to invite visitors to come and meet the adults before considering buying a Dalmatian puppy.
Rest assured if you are looking at my dogs you are looking at a good tempered dog that is safe to have around young children and other animals. I occasionally have Dalmatian puppies for sale. View my Dalmatian puppies page for updates on planned litters. I am confident what you see from my dogs will be what you would get from one of their puppies. Please see more information and any Dalmatians for sale on my Dalmatian Puppies page.
Too many people buy a Dalmatian because they're beautiful, or because of the films, but don't realise the work involved. If you're unsure of their characteristics or any other matter, just ask. We pride ourselves as being responsible Dalmatian breeders and want to find the very best of homes for our puppies.
The love and loyalty these dogs give you in return for their needs, for an experienced owner, is priceless.
On 26th September 2020 I ran the Race For Life with Kiki. We raised over £300 for Cancer Research. It is a charity very close to my heart so I like to support in any way I can. Involving my dogs is even more satisfying.
I'm thrilled that at just 8 months of age, Calli (Dalamanti Hidden Glory) won Minor Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy Bitch at Crufts. This was a win-win for me as the winner of the older Puppy Bitch class she competed against was Diesel's daughter Patsy (Kelevra Mind Your Nebula). We're so proud of them both and hope they both have a bright future.
BEST IN SHOW
Dalamanti Ice Ruby JW ShCM
Jovi (Dalamanti Ice Ruby JW ShCM) won an amazing 1st Open, Best Of Breed, Utility Group 1, finishing with BEST IN SHOW in incredible company.
A day I won't forget.
Thank you to the judges Breed/Group Judge Mr W Gregory, & Best in Show Judge Miss Sharon Pinkerton.
UTILITY GROUP 1
Dalamanti Ruby Raider
Kiki (Dalamanti Ruby Raider) won a fantastic Adult Utility Group 1 in very strong competition out of a huge group. She is only 13 months old so only just out of puppy. So this is a huge achievement for us.
Thank you to the breed and group judge Ms Alison Morton (Cotherstone) for a super day and for the wonderful comments about my special girl.

Diesel returned to the ring in style at The National on 7th May. After a 2 year break from the ring he came back and won:
Many thanks to breed judge Mr Peter Swinburn for Best Veteran in Breed, and Mr Andrew Brace for an incredible Veteran Group 2.
Mr Brace's critique of Diesel: "VG2 was Ch Shulune Ice Phantom of Dalamanti, handsome Dalmatian, all male but still with a look of quality. Impressed in outline & moved with power & style."

Chelsea exceeded our expectations making the final round of the veteran of the year competition. We were ecstatic to say the least.
Chelsea won a big Veteran Bitch class, took Best Veteran Bitch, finishing off with BEST VETERAN IN SHOW.
Many thanks to judge Karyn Wight for a fabulous result.
Jovi won Dalmatian Open & Best of Breed and Utility Open, then went on to win another RESERVE BEST IN SHOW.
Many thanks to judge Mr David Fitzsimons for thinking so highly of our home bred girl.
We had a fabulous year at Crufts 2017 where Chelsea was Reserve (4th) in Veteran, then Jovi was placed VHC (5th) in a large Mid Limit class, then she took 2nd in Good Citizen as well. We were over the moon with the whole team.
Many thanks to judge Mr Robert Sansom for a fantastic day.
19th December 2015 - Jovi outdid her mother the year before. She attended Tweedmouth Canine Society, won both her classes, then went on to win BEST IN SHOW against some beautiful competition. Many thanks to the judge Mrs Margaret Curtis for finishing our year on such a high.
Following on from this, Jovi took RESERVE BEST IN SHOW at Ashington & District Canine Society on 13th February 16 under judge Marion Scott.
We are so proud of her achievements which is more than we could have dreamt of, especially as she is still so young.
Cooper is out of my Champion boy Diesel and is from a full hearing litter and is producing excellent hearing results from his 2 litters he has sired (1 full hearing litter from 9 and 1 with just a uni lateral puppy out of 9). He has a lovely sweet temperament and is of fit solid construction and is certainly fit for function.
He has recently won his stud book number qualifying for Crufts for life, as well as winning his class at Crufts 2022 and getting a fantastic 2nd place in a huge class at Crufts 2023. He is consistently well placed at Championship shows in strong competition. He has won multiple best of breeds and group placings at open shows as well and 2 consecutive best in shows at Tweedmouth limit show.
He is available at stud to pre-approved bitches only. They must at very least be BAER hearing tested and the pedigree must be approved in advance.
For more information, please see our stud dog page.

Jovi absolutely loves doing her agility training classes. It's not just for collies!
